GIS & REMOTE SENSING
A specialized service that we offer at Valhalla
Contracting is our GIS / GPS / remote sensing capabilities. We
employ these technologies in the planning phase of trail construction.
Using GPS (global positioning systems) the proposed trail alignment
is surveyed and transferred to GIS (geographic information systems)
so that the delineated alignment can be overlayed with satellite
photography / aerial photography, property lines, environmental
data, or archaeological information.
Our GIS department also offers digital cartography,
digital GIS data services, database programming, habitat modeling,
and 3D landscape visualizations.
